Purchasing car parts requires precision. Whether you’re buying a side mirror or a complete engine block, Motorepo ensures your funds are protected until the part is in your hands and inspected.
The Offer Process
- Make Offer: Found the part you need but want a better deal? Click “Make Offer” to propose a price. The seller will be notified to accept or reject it. Remember, all offers are binding—be prepared to pay if the seller agrees to your price.
- Offer Accepted: Once an offer is accepted, the buyer should proceed to checkout. Note: The item remains available to other buyers until payment is successful. The first person to complete the payment secures the part, and all other pending offers are automatically cancelled.
Checkout & Payment
- Secure Checkout: To finalize the purchase, enter your details, including the scheduled date for the exchange and your contact number. You can then select Pickup or Delivery.
- Total Transparency: Before you pay, we display a clear breakdown:
- Item Price
- Buyer Protection Fee (Ensures your money is safe in escrow)
- Delivery Fee (Calculated via Google-enabled maps based on location and part size).
- Submit Order: Once payment is made, your funds are held in a secure Escrow Account. The seller does not receive the money until you verify the part.
Receiving Your Parts
Delivery Orders
Await the arrival of your part on the scheduled date. Because automotive components are technical, conduct a thorough inspection upon arrival. Check for compatibility, part numbers, and any signs of damage not mentioned in the listing. If the part matches the description, confirm receipt in the app.
Pickup Orders
For heavy items like transmissions or sets of tires, pickup is often best. After payment, the seller’s contact info and precise location are revealed. Meet the seller, inspect the part, and once satisfied, confirm via the app to release the funds.
Confirmation & Protection
- Confirm Order: When you confirm the order, Motorepo holds the payment for 24 hours before final release to the seller. This window allows you one last chance to report any major hidden defects. If no complaints are filed within 24 hours, the seller is paid and the transaction is complete.
- Reach Out Early: Always raise issues before confirming if something feels off. Once confirmed, it is much harder to initiate a refund.
